Mercury Anode Kit - 818298T1

Regular inspection and replacement of anodes is important to prevent galvanic corrosion, which can damage vital engine components. It's recommended to check the anode's condition periodically and replace it when significant deterioration is observed. Anodes act as "sacrificial" metals, designed to corrode and dissolve instead of the other metal components on your boat, like the propeller and hull fittings, protecting them from galvanic corrosion which can cause significant damage if left unchecked.
